Chic, the Pointer Sisters, the Three Degrees and Boney M have announced a UK arena tour called The Best Disco in Town.

Candi Staton, Evelyn "Champagne" King, and the Emotions will also be on the bill.

Between 1977 and 1979, Chic enjoyed six Top 20 hits in the UK including Le Freak, Dance, Dance, Dance, I Want Your Love and Good Times.

Founding member guitarist Nile Rodgers said recently the outfit's recent concerts have been more fun than the old days.

"In a weird way it's more fun because people appreciate it more," said Rodgers who is currently finishing a new album by Chic, Helicopter Girl, due in June on Instant Karma Records.
