The Darkness walked out of a US radio agony aunt show after a caller rang in to say she'd been sexually assaulted.

The Lowestoft rock band, currently on a US tour, were due to appear on Loveline to answer questions.

But the Daily Mirror says the band arrived at the studio clearly unaware of the kind of questions they could be asked.

And when one female listener called to say she'd been sexually assaulted at a young age, the band left the studios. An insider told the newspaper nobody knew what to do when The Darkness walked out.

A spokesman for the band said: "The fact they left the show says it all. They felt very uncomfortable."
