Brad Pitt was told off by the director of his new film for making shooting noises when he fired his gun.

According to Teenhollywood the actor, who plays an assassin opposite Angelina Jolie in the upcoming movie Mr and Mrs Smith, couldn't resist creating his own sound effects.

Actor Greg Ellis - whose character gets shot by Brad - revealed: "The first time Brad fired his guns at me, the director told him to stop the sound effects - when he pulls the trigger he's like a little boy with a toy.

"He makes gun noises to go with the shots."

Greg, who dated Catherine Zeta Jones when he was 14, is currently appearing in hit TV show 24.
