Daniel Radcliffe says he hopes the next Harry Potter film doesn't make him "really famous".

The 14-year-old says he's dreading losing his anonymity when The Prisoner Of Azkaban is released this summer.

The shy star says people who bump into him often don't realise who he is, but he's scared that could change, says the Daily Record.

He said: "I'm glad I don't have to roam the streets of New York in disguise. I'd stay in my hotel if I had to do something like that. I would hate it.

"When the first two films came out, I had to have bodyguards because I created such a ruckus everywhere I went. That was absolutely no fun.

"I really pray The Prisoner Of Azkaban doesn't make me really famous again, because I love being completely anonymous and I've felt like that for almost two years.

"When I'm on the streets of a big city like New York and no-one recognises me, it reminds me that I'm just a normal teenager. And, that's all I am."

However he does stress that he's grateful to be playing the world's favourite kid's character.

"Don't get me wrong. I love the fact that I was given the chance to portray Harry Potter. Even J.K. Rowling thanked me for playing the role," he said.
