Jennifer Lopez has denied she's got engaged to singer Marc Anthony.

The rumours started when she she was seen wearing what appears to be a huge engagement ring.

She has contacted America's Entertainment Tonight TV show to issue a denial, according to the programme's website.

The ring was seen again in New York last week as the couple stepped out together.

It is made up of a diamond band with a huge, square, clear diamond surrounded by tiny diamonds.

Lopez split from fiance Ben Affleck in January and their planned wedding was cancelled.

Anthony's four-year marriage to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres ended the same month when she filed for divorce.

Affleck and J-Lo, together dubbed "Bennifer", were due to marry last September but the £1.25 million nuptials were called off at the last minute.

They said at the time that media pressure would have ruined their big day.

The ceremony was expected to have been held at a private £19 million estate in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, California.
