Rupert Everett reckons he's gay because he wasn't breast-fed as a baby.

Talking to German Vogue, Everett said: "I'm certain that this is one of the reasons I'm gay."

Everett also tried to define what makes a female star a diva.

He dismissed Cameron Diaz, saying she "easily gets pimples - which is good because such things make you vulnerable and keep you grounded."

Instead, Everett says real divas sometimes don't even know they are one - like Madonna.

"She thinks everybody with a different opinion than hers is a diva," he said. "But in truth, it's her who is the diva."
