 Ananova:
Moby and Public Enemy collaborate

Moby and rap group Public Enemy have teamed up on a new single MKLVFKWR.

Moby /PA

The track was written specially for Unity, The Official Athens 2004 Olympic Games Album compilation.

The album features tracks linked by the theme of harmony and peace and includes duets from Alice Cooper and Xzibit, Destiny's Child and Will I Am, and Macy Gray and Keziah Jones.

The music for MKLVFKWR was written by Moby while the lyrics were penned by Chuck D and Flavor Flav of Public Enemy, "in reaction against the recent war in Iraq".

Moby said: "We do still ostensibly live in a democracy, so my hope is that at some point the people will vocally rise up and let the current leaders know that they've had enough."

"The song is a request that being a citizen of the world should transcend nationality in the name of peace," explains Chuck D.

MKLVFKWR is released via Mute on 26th July on 12" single only.

Unity, The Official Athens 2004 Olympic Games Album compilation is released via EMI on 12th July.
