 Ananova:
Chris Martin 'to write Embrace's comeback single'

Chris Martin is reportedly to write Embrace's comeback single.

According to NME the Coldplay front man has written the song Gravity for the Brighouse band as a thank you for the help they gave his band in its early days.

Now it will be the first song to be lifted from the band's much-delayed new album, due out in September.

Chris said: "We've always loved Embrace and Danny McNamara is one of my best friends.

"When we wrote 'Gravity' we thought it sounded far too much like them for us, but not too much like them for them, so I asked Danny if he wanted the song and that was that."

Embrace, fronted by the McNamara brothers, had top ten hits with All You Good Good People and Come Back to What You Know in the late 1990s.

But they have since changed record label and been out of the studio for two years.

Gravity will be released by Independiente on August 30.
