A part-time magician in Hong Kong saved a woman from being attacked at knifepoint by throwing a coat over the knife and making it "disappear". The 20-year-old woman alerted authorities that she was being attacked by her 68-year-old father. Lau Yin-wai, 27, an amateur magician and next-door neighbour, heard the scuffle and saw the injured woman lying on the floor, with her mother and sister still struggling with the knife-wielding father. Lau threw a coat over the father's arm, distracting him and grabbing the knife - a disappearing trick he has used before on stage, Chinese-language newspaper Ming Pao reported. The woman suffered nose and wrist injuries. Her father is being questioned by police. |
