Tony Christie has landed a £50,000 contract to become the face of Stilton cheese.

The singer is currently at No.1 with his hit Is This The Way To Amarillo reports The Sun.

Christie will appear in a TV ad for the cheese after Stilton Cheese Makers Association saw his video starring Peter Kay.

Nigel White from the SCMA said: "His success has really turned British music lover on to easy listening - cheesy music is now the hottest thing in the charts."
