Ananova:

A Romanian woman is refusing to shave off her thick beard and moustache because she says they keep her warm.

Anica Birladeanu is shunned by villagers in Pechea, County Galati.They claim that her beard is a sign that she is evil and accuse her of being the offspring of the Devil.

The 34-year-old woman says she is a simple shepherd who keeps herself to herself.

"I wear a dress so that people do not think that I am a man and the beard keeps my face warm so I am not going to get rid of it."

She claims that she does not want to get married - and has no need of men.
