 Ananova:
£1m of cocaine dumped on pavement

Police in Argentina are hunting two men who dumped a box containing £1,000,000 worth of cocaine on a city pavement.

The men reportedly dumped the cardboard box in the middle of the day after seeing police officers near Flores train station in Buenos Aires.

Policemen could not believe their eyes when they opened the box and saw it contained 45kg of cocaine, reports Clarin.

Witnessess said the two men were carrying the box at around 1pm when they saw the police and simply dropped the box and ran.

The police have organised a major operation to catch the two men but without success so far.

A police spokesperson said: "It is incredibly bold that they were carrying this amount of drug in a cardboard box in the middle of the day.

"We never heard of anything like that before, we are astonished."
