 Ananova:
100 bleeps in Jamie's School Dinners DVD

More than 100 swear words were bleeped out for the DVD version of Jamie Oliver's school dinners series.

Producers of Jamie's School Dinners counted more than 40 sh*ts, 30 f***s, and 20 a*ses.

'Scrotum' originally made the grade however it was decided at the last minute it was unsuitable for younger viewers.

Other expletives that were bleeped out included: p*ss/p*ssed, a*sehole, cock, jacksie, Goddamn, crappy, motherf***er, bugger, sod, scrotum, pleb, hell, Christ and screw.

And a few phrases were also judged too much for a younger audience, including: "I sha**ed some waitress", "breaking my balls" and "Jesus Christ almighty".

Producers Fremantle worked with the National Parent Teachers Association to ensure the DVD was suitable for schoolchildren.

A spokesman said: "Whilst some of the words aren't strictly speaking swear words, we were keen to develop a product that could be taken into the classroom and used as a teaching resource to educate school kids about making healthy choices in the dining hall.

"Hence we felt that 'scrotum' should be bleeped, because if this word was watched on TV in a classroom setting, it would just result in sniggering and the key learnings from the programme being lost."
