A hotel with rooms built in the branches of a tree has opened its doors for business in Germany.
Guests spend the night in wooden rooms suspended in branches 30-feet above the ground. The Zentendorf Tree House in Saxony, offers five rooms connected by narrow walkways and built into the branches of a black locust tree. The rooms, which were fully booked for the opening night, cost £100 to £150 a night. They come with small balconies, electric lights and shared toilets. Designer Juergen Bergmann said: "It's every kid's dream to live in a tree house, and many adults never lose that desire." |
