A Scottish man gave up everything to travel around Eastern Europe playing cricket on a psychic's advice. Angus Bell, 24, from Coulter, had been planning to emigrate to Canada with his girlfriend and settle down. But while in Montreal to prepare for the move he had a session with psychic Harley Monti "as a joke". But the psychic convinced him to drop everything for his Eastern Europe adventure as it was his "destiny" to make a "special journey". Mr Bell said: "I decided to do what he told me and started work on a book on cricket in eastern European countries where there are only a few people starting to develop the sport." And he added: "At the start of my journey I was shocked when some of the things Monti predicted actually happened. For instance, he told me I would meet an important person called Jason. "I went to Estonia first and a leading figure in the cricket community there is a local guy called Jason. Hardly anyone in the country is called Jason." Bell, driving an old Skoda car, has visited The Baltics, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and plans to continue to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Belarus. Bell said as soon as he finishes his book though he will move to Canada where his girlfriend is already waiting for him. "Once I've done what the psychic told me I can join my girlfriend and start a happy life in Canada," he said. |
