A teetotal housewife has been banned from her local pub - because of her laugh.

Stephanie Berriman was told her high-pitched laugh was annoying other drinkers, says the Sun.

Landlady Ann Mannings said Stephanie was so loud that she woke up the neighbours.

Stephanie said she could not believe she had been banned from the Temple Inn, in Liss, Hants, after ten years.

She said: "I could understand it if I was some wild tearaway on drink and drugs but I'm a non-drinking, middle-aged housewife who likes to have a laugh."

Barman Alan Searle said: "The landlady has the right within the law to refuse to serve anybody and give no reason."
