 Ananova:
Pensioners form rap group

A dozen Geordie pensioners have formed what they believe is the world’s oldest hip hop collective.

Silver wRappers met on a music course for the over-50s at Newcastle College, reports the Sun.

They decided to set up a band after being thrilled by a lecture on rapping.

Margaret Hall, 80, of from South Shields, said: “We’re learning a lot and having fun. I’d no idea what rap was before.”

And Ann Moore, 65, of Bedlington, Northumberland, added: “My granddaughter calls me Mrs Puff Daddy.”

The group perform their first gig in Gateshead next month.
