An Austrian athlete has broken the world record for endurance skiing after nine solid days on the slopes. Josef Resnik, 52, skied the Schorschi piste for 240 consecutive hours, only taking short breaks to go to the toilet, eat and have brief showers to stay warm. The army officer broke German Christian Fluer's former record of 222 hours. Resnik already holds records for completing a 15-day Triathlon and being the first man to cycle round the world in 80 days. |
