A group of Swiss eskimo enthusiasts is claiming a record after building a massive igloo village on a frozen lake. The 200-strong team from Canton Obwalden, led by Lars Kienitz, took 12 hours to build 100 igloos on the Melch Lake. Swiss media hailed their achievement as a new world record. The igloo village is 200 feet wide and has a snow church and a central piazza. Many of the individual igloos contain kitchens, a fireplace and ice sofas.
