 Ananova:
Bag of chips cost woman £75

A woman has been fined £75 for dropping a chip.

Pauline Oakley was eating a £1 bag of takeaway chips in her car when she came across a bad one and threw it out of the window.

She was spotted by a council warden who gave her the instant fine reports The Sun.

Pauline, form Doncaster, South Yorkshire, said: "It was a very expensive bag of chips. I could have gone to the Savoy and had some cheaper there.

"I had no idea dropping a chip was an offence - it will decompose. The warden who fined me should have something better to do with his time. It isn't like dropping a wrapper."

Doncaster Council increased the fines to £75 after announcing a zero-tolerance policy on littering the streets.
