Ananova:

A Santa Claus has been forced to wear a helmet after being pelted with mince pies.

Youths threw the mince pies from an upper level of the Paisley Centre in Renfrewshire as Santa was handing out presents to children.

Shopping centre bosses have now issued the Santa with a builder's-style hard hat in case any more mince pies are thrown his way.

Centre manager Andrew MacKinnon said shoppers were shocked after the incident, reports Metro.
