Robson Green had to wear a fake foam penis so he looked 'in the mood' for a love scene in his new TV series.

The actor, 42, was shooting the scene with screen wife Nicola Stephenson for ITV1 drama City Lights.

She admitted to the Daily Mirror: “I was absolutely hopeless with the giggles when I saw it.”

Nicola, 36, said: “For the love scene with Robson he had to wear a foam penis in his boxer shorts to show that he was ‘up for it’. It was just hilarious.

“It looked so real that I took a picture of Robson wearing it on my mobile phone. The trouble is I’ve since lost the phone so someone has got that picture! It could end up on the Internet on somewhere like YouTube!

“Robson wasn’t pleased when I told him that I’d lost the phone. He moaned: ‘Thanks a lot, Nicola'.”

The six-parter follows on from previous series Northern Lights.
