A Yorkshire farmer had his last wish granted as his coffin was towed to his funeral on his favourite tractor. Jimmy Haythornthwaite, who died of a heart attack aged 71, owned three vintage Massey Fergusons and used an adapted 1960s model to go shopping and pick up his pension. He was pulled to a crematorium on a trailer attached to his beloved red 1956 model driven by pal Colin Moses, reports The Sun. A cortege of tractors followed them to the crematorium in Oakworth, near his farm in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Daughter Vicky, 35, said: "It was his last wish to be towed behind his favourite tractor and that his ashes should be scattered at the farm." Her father was a well known character in the area and could often be seen standing outside his home surveying the countryside. "He knew everything that was going on - he was like the local neighbourhood watch," she added.
