A university lecturer is in trouble after a clip of her performing a cheeky dance appeared on YouTube.

Professor Angela Repanovici was filmed at a party in the library at the University of Transylvania in Brasov.

The 43-year-old is seen dancing with colleagues and flashing off her red underwear in the mobile phone video.

She has now been sacked from her position of head of libraries at the university - although she has been allowed to carry on teaching mechanical engineering.

The university's senate also decided to forbid her from occupying any leading position for the next three years.

Prof Repanovici says she is the victim of blackmail and asked police to identify the person who filmed her and posted the clip on YouTube.
