A baby squirrel has formed a bond with a park ranger after mistaking him for his father. The grey squirrel called Oakley Junior was abandoned by his father and leapt into park ranger Mark Swift's arms for affection. Mr Swift said: "I put out my hand and he jumped on and looked adoringly at me. "He has lost his family and thinks I'm his dad. He's more like a monkey than a squirrel and I'm convinced he thinks he's human.' Oakley has become one of the family at Central Park, in Peterborough, where he is given ice cream and cake in the tea room. Oakley has recently found a new home nearby with a local woman. Mr Swift told the Metro: "I was gutted; he's adorable. But he will come to visit so it's a good arrangement."
