 Ananova:
Peace in the Middle East, a cure for Aids, and more Harry Potter books...

A spoof Google News front page, heralding nothing but good news, is being sent around the world by viral email.

The creators, weary of the tales of death, destruction and misfortune that usually populate the news aggregator, have put together a convincing replica that features only positive stories.

The lead item, "China Withdraws from Tibet, with Apologies", even features a reference to "President Obama" attending the handover ceremony.

Other headlines include "Darfur peace process well underway", "Gaza-West Bank divisions disappearing" and "Amnesty International reports massive drop in detainments".

News of a "Successful third round of trials for Aids vaccine" is also featured, accompanied by mention that the vaccine will also apply to existing Aids sufferers, and that the maker has waived the rights to all profits.

And a spoof Daily Telegraph article reveals that JK Rowling "has heaps more to write about Harry". "The Hogwarts years are just the start," she says.

And Star Wars buffs disappointed by the three prequels will be heartened by the news that director George Lucas is to allow fans "edit, rework and, if necessary, reshoot" the three films, admitting that he "screwed up big time".
