Kinsella stab death: three in court

Three teenagers are due to appear in court charged with the murder of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella.

The brother of former EastEnders actress Brooke Kinsella died in the early hours of Sunday morning after a fight in a north London bar spilled out on to the streets.

Ben was stabbed a number of times during the incident on York Way, Islington, before dying in the arms of his friend Louis Robson, 16, the son of Birds Of A Feather actress Linda Robson.

Scotland Yard said Juress Kika, 18, Michael Alleyne, 18, and Jade Braithwaite, 19, all from the Islington area of north London, would appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court charged with Ben's murder.

Ben was with friends at Shillibeers, a bar in Islington, when the disturbance broke out.

Detectives believe several youths were ejected from the bar and the trouble continued down the street.

Somehow Ben became involved and at about 2am he was fatally stabbed.

His sister, Brooke Kinsella, made an emotional plea on Monday for witnesses to come forward to help the police find her brother's killer.

She called for an end to knife crime and begged children and teenagers to put down their knives and weapons and "think about the pain and suffering they will cause".

On Tuesday, about 400 protesters marched along Upper Street in Islington to the scene of the killing to demand an end to knife crime.
