Yorkshire have failed in their bid to be readmitted to this season's Twenty20 Cup following an appeal in Taunton on Monday. The white rose county were thrown out of the tournament after fielding the ineligible teenager Azeem Rafiq in a game against Nottinghamshire in the group stage of the competition. An initial hearing concluded that Yorkshire should not progress to their quarter-final against Durham, which was postponed last Monday. Glamorgan, as one of the two best third-placed teams, will now take on Durham in the last-eight contest.
