An Elvis fan is paying tribute to his idol by travelling around the world dressed as the King. Matt Hale, 38, has partied at Brazil's Rio de Janeiro carnival, posed with Chile's Easter Island statues and visited Peru - all clad in his Elvis jumpsuit, wig and shades. He has also worn it in Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, the USA, Ireland, France, Austria, Holland, Italy and Spain, reports The Sun. He even gatecrashed Australia's biggest Elvis festival where he finished last in both the lookalike and soundalike contests. Matt, from Welwyn Garden City, Herts, said: "I love Elvis and when I saw the suit in a bargain shop I just had to buy it. "I thought wearing it round the world would be a good way to honour the King - and it seems to have worked as I've attracted loads of attention." Radio producer Matt has enjoyed warm welcomes almost everywhere he has gone. But he was thrown out of the Louvre in Paris because his outfit breached the dress code. And he was asked to leave both Peru's lost Inca city of Machu Picchu and Eva Peron's cemetery in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Matt will take a brief break in England before continuing his tour in Sweden, Russia, China, Hong Kong and Bali. He joked: "I only hope the Elvis suit survives the rest of the year. It's starting to look a bit worn."
