| Executive unveils legislation programme |
The Scottish Executive has announced nine new Bills are to be launched by ministers over the coming year.
Proposed legislation ranges from the release of life prisoners to legal moves to spare rape victims the ordeal of being cross-examined by their alleged attackers.
There is also to be legislation to protect Scotland's salmon rivers, stocks in which are now said to be at their lowest since 1952.
And a housing bill will aim to pave the way for new investment and give tenants more say.
