An attempt by animal rights campaigners to set free thousands of mink from a Danish farm ended in tragedy when most of them were run over on a nearby motorway. A total of 8,000 mink were free to go when protesters opened a gate at the farm near Copenhagen, but only 2,000 took the opportunity. Their freedom was shortlived when hundreds streamed across a nearby motorway. Police are investigating the incident. |
