Cleaners at a 16th century hotel are happy their workplace is haunted as the ghost is a chambermaid who does their jobs. The spring-cleaning ghost - thought to be a former housekeeper called Ella - makes beds, sweeps the floor and works the trouser press at the Riverside Country Hotel in Derbyshire. Bosses discovered the hotel was haunted when guests complained about maids walking through their bathrooms while they were having a soak, The Star newspaper reports. Hotel manager James Lamb said: "The girls kept coming downstairs and asking who'd cleaned room four, when none of them had been in there." |
