Sophie Ellis Bextor is expecting her first baby.

The singer is three months pregnant by new boyfriend Richard Jones, just four months after splitting from her manager and boyfriend of six years Andy Boyd.

Sophie told The Sun she's thrilled and says Richard is her dream man to settle down with.

She also said she'd like more children.

"I've always wanted to be a mum and Richard and I are really excited. We're looking forward to starting a family," she said.

The pair met backstage on Jonathan Ross's TV show and were said to have hit it off straight away. They live in her £400,000 home in London's Notting Hill.

Bextor has just released her second solo album called Shoot From The Hip. She will release two singles from the album but has axed a planned tour of Europe, Japan and South America.
