Mel C says Victoria Beckham's new music is "atrocious and weak" and says she should enjoy her family and "give music a rest".

The former Spice Girl said she's heard a snippet of Beckham's new double A-side single - This Groove and Let your Head Go.

Mel reportedly said the latter, which is an R&B track, is "terrible".

Her comments are made in an interview with Heart 106.2's Harriet Scott which will be broadcast on Saturday, says the Daily Mirror.

She tells Scott: "I thought it was atrocious - I'm not being horrible, I'm just giving my opinion. I thought it was a terrible song. Lyrically it was weak."

She's also urging Victoria to give up music and spend more time with her husband and two sons. "If I was Victoria I would enjoy my husband, enjoy my family, enjoy the money that they've got and give the music a rest," she says.

"She's got such a great life - I don't know why she doesn't just sit back and enjoy it. But she's very headstrong - she does exactly what she wants," adds Mel.
