 Ananova:
Sarah in tears over final Sex in the City

Sarah Jessica Parker admits to being reduced to tears as filming on the final episode of Sex and the City approaches.

Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, and her co-stars of the show will film the final scenes over the next two weeks in Paris and the last ever episode will air on US television next month.

The 38-year-old actress told the New York Post: "Carrie Bradshaw was never a 9-to-5 job.

"This show has changed my life personally and professionally, and I can't begin to know the great sadness that will envelop me when I leave these people.

"If I think too much about ending, I couldn't show up for work every day. So I can't allow myself even to ponder the great seismic shift. I have ambulances lined up for February."

It was Parker's decision last year that the show should end but she admits she thought about quitting when she became pregnant two years ago.

Parker, who is married to actor Matthew Broderick, gave birth to her son, James, in October 2002.

She says: "Sex and the City is comfortable, lucrative, thrilling and extremely satisfying, but I know deep in my heart that this is the time to pull the plug. We have to do new things."

But, she refuses to rule out a one-off reunion special of the series with her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis: "I've learned never to say never," she adds.

The final episode will air on HBO in the US on February 22 and is due to air on Channel Four later in the year.
