A Tarot reader is telling customer's fortunes using her son's Pokemon cards.

According to Sylvia Irving, from Birmingham, Pikachu shows a strong-willed and dominating person, Bulbusaur refers to business dealings and Squirtle is a good sign during legal battles.

Mrs Irving first borrowed her seven-year-old's game cards after challenging a friend that she could look into the future using anything at all.

She told the Sunday Mirror: "When I picked them up I thought 'These are really easy to read'. They were effective too."

"Its quite easy really - they work a lot like my usual Tarot cards and seem to be very popular among my clients."
