A samba school in Rio de Janeiro is to have the Kama Sutra as its theme for the 2004 Carnival parade.

Grande Rio samba school has promised a safe sex parade called Let's Use Condoms, My Love.

Dancers will act out sexual positions from the famous Indian sex guide, reports Las Ultimas Noticias.

School director Joaosinho Trinta said: "This is one of the most original and polemic themes ever and if we get censured we will interpret it as a Nazi act.

"We will have huge sculptures portraying the positions and also the dancers will do the poses as they parade.

"There will be sex simulations but done with taste as art. But we will also inform people about the importance of love and the use of condoms."
