Jordan says Gareth Gates told her that he loved her in a text message.

She says the singer revealed his feelings for her after they had been seeing each other for about a month.

She told Heat magazine: "He sent me a text message saying it. And then the next time we met up again a couple of days later at my mates house he said it again to my face."

Jordan said Gareth also used to send her text messages during breaks in live Pop Idol shows, such as: "Watch the next song. I'll be looking at the camera and thinking of you."

She added: "I couldn't tell anyone so I used to watch it and think: "I'm going out with him"."

But Gareth suddenly ended the relationship after he came second in the show and when the newspapers got hold of the story about their relationship.

"I phoned him at home one day to chat and he just came out with it. He said: "I'm not going to have time for you now. I've got to focus on my music." I was just shocked. It was so sudden."

But she said she didn't regret going out with him and even admitted she would go out with him again if they were both single and he asked her.

"Any girl who goes out with him will be lucky because he really makes you feel like a princess," she said.
