 Ananova:
Dracula family member says he'd like to live in North Yorkshire

Vlad Dracula Prince Kretzulesco, said to be the last member of the clan, is considering setting up home at his family's old stamping ground in Whitby, North Yorkshire.

The 60-year-old antiques dealer is leaving his German castle after neo-Nazis tried to set it on fire and made death threats and says he'd like to move to England.

"I know a little of Whitby and my family's connection with the town and if I were welcome, maybe I could go there and look for a place to live," he said.

"To visit the place where Mr Stoker wrote the book would be wonderful. The British are good to foreigners and have liberal attitudes, no matter if you are black, green or lilac. If anyone offered me their castle I would jump at the opportunity."

And the idea of a real-life Dracula stalking the streets of Whitby has been given a warm welcome by townsfolk, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Craig Collier-Huckins from Whitby's Dracula Society said: "It would be wonderful to have him here and we would welcome him with open arms."
