Ananova:

An investigation is under way after a 20-year-old Naval Rating was electrocuted as he tried to cross a railway line in Fareham, Hampshire.

The incident happened as he tried to get from one platform to other at Fareham station.

The victim, who was from a local Naval base, was confirmed dead at the scene.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police described his death as a "tragic accident" and says that the man's next of kin is being contacted.

The coroner has also been informed.

British Transport Police are investigating and say rail services on the track have not been affected.
