Gareth Barry has claimed his chance of an England recall will increase by "100%" when Sven-Goran Eriksson quits as coach in the summer. Aston Villa midfielder Barry has been frozen out of Eriksson's plans for the past couple of seasons and has admitted his disillusionment is so strong he never looks at England squads when they are announced. Barry, who has also operated at left-back for Villa this season, told the Birmingham Sunday Mercury: "I've probably got 100% more chance of getting back into the England squad once the manager has gone after the World Cup. "There are other players on the fringe who have also felt a bit hard done by. But Sven going definitely gives me a fighting chance of a recall and I think it will be a fresh start." Barry will make his 300th appearance for Villa against Newcastle next weekend.
