Wade Small is back in contention for Wimbledon against Sunderland. The Dons midfielder failed a late fitness test on his groin injury before the Wigan game but is now available. But manager Stuart Murdoch is unlikely to tinker with a winning team after the Dons won their first match in 12 attempts. Dean Holdsworth will not be risked despite his return to training from a knee operation while Peter Hawkins is doubtful with Achilles trouble. Darren Holloway is back at the club following his loan move to Scunthorpe but is unlikely to feature. Striker Darren Byfield could be in line for a recall to Mick McCarthy's side as Sunderland aim to get over their FA Cup semi-final defeat. Byfield had to sit out the game against Millwall due to his involvement with former club Rotherham earlier this season. Jeff Whitley misses the trip to Milton Keynes through suspension.
