 Ananova:
Preview: Hull v Castleford

Paul Newlove is poised to make a belated debut for Castleford in Thursday's Tetley's Super League match against Hull at the KC Stadium.

Newlove has yet to play a competitive match for his new club since since his close-season move from St Helens after picking up a foot injury in the pre-season friendlies.

But he has been named in the Tigers' 20-man squad and will line up at left centre if he comes through a late fitness test as Castleford aim for their first League win of the season.

Cas coach Graham Steadman will also give late fitness tests to Lee Harland and Nathan Sykes but another centre, Paul Mellor, is still sidelined with a knee injury.

Hull have named an 18-strong squad although coach Shaun McRae seems certain to field an unchanged side.

It means Danny Hill, who stepped in at the last minute in the 27-21 win at Wakefield last week, should make his home bow.

Hull have also recalled Ryan Benjafield from his loan spell at York City Knights where he has spent the past six weeks with the National League Two club.

The former Penrith Panthers forward, a winter signing for Hull, was not initially in McRae's plans but Ewan Dowes has a thigh strain suggesting Benjafield could get his Super League debut.
